The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, November 17, 2009, with the
following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously
approved to adopt the agenda.
Public comment was received from Mr. Bud Bennett from Citizens for
Responsible Government, requesting qualifications not requirements of the job of the
Tourism Director.
The minutes of November 10, 2009 and November 12, 2009 meetings were
read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, November 19, 2009.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and
signed on Thursday, November 19, 2009.
John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator informed the Board of the State
ordered election recount of the Office of Judge of the Superior Court and the process the
County will be following to do the recount.
The Board met with the County Solicitor and to review related matters.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller;
unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:16 a.m. this date for the
purpose to review contract negotiation for real estate matters. The Board
reconvened into regular session at 9:31 a.m.
The Board conducted Budget Hearings with the following offices: Division
Leaders, Treasurer and Prothonotary.
The Board reviewed Commissioners' Office matters. On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved for the Chairman of the
Board to execute the Third Party Access Agreement between the Franklin County
Retirement Board and M&T Bank for certain Internet-based electronic access services
relative to the County's Accounts.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:32 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by David S. Keller.
