HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-01-19 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2010 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 19, 2010, with the following members present: David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The Board read a press release from Commissioner Thomas that was provided to the local media. The minutes of January 12 and January 14, 2010 meetings were read. These will be approved Thursday, January 21, 2010. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved Thursday, January 21, 2010. John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator reported to the Board that the County received notice from PennDot that our bridge consultant was approved and a meeting is being scheduled with PennDot to discuss contract. Mr. Hart also reported that County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) informed the County's of additional state budget cuts. The Human Services Administrator will explain cuts in further detail when more information is received from the State. The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Agreement between the County of Franklin and Black and Davison Attorneys at Law to provide conflict counsel for real estate tax valuation and exemption appeals at a cost of $110.00 per hour and out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the course of the representation. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:21 a.m. this date for the purpose to review Litigation matters. The Board reconvened into regular session at 9:42 a.m. Richard Wynn, Human Services Administrator met with the Board to provide an update on a provider. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:54 a.m. this date for the purpose to review a confidentiality mandate from the State. The Board reconvened into regular session at 10:29 a.m. The Board instructed the Director of Human Services to conduct a review of the circumstances surrounding the Childhood Early Intervention (CEI) audit and report the findings to the Board in a timely manner.
