Those present introduced themselves and their agency affiliations during the Provider Updates. Administrative Entity (AE) Updates 2¤¡¤¢¢  7¤ µ¤± 0 £«¤³ 2¤view Padlet is a website that IDD is using to help notify families of available services, trainings, and community events. Becky presented a demonstration of how to access and navigate all of the resources on the Padlet website. Please email Becky the link to your website or the best source to disperse your agency information so that she can upload it to the Padlet. If you are hosting an event that anyone within the IDD community could participate in, that information could also be added. IDD staff is planning to update the Padlet at the beginning and end of each month. Please notify Becky the month prior to an event to be sure it gets listed in time. The link for the Padlet is https://padlet.com/mh_idd_ei/community-and-collaboration-for-our-best- lives-p5d3irwty4odw2e4 Provider Meeting Friday, May 16, 2025 * ¤ #«¨¤ &¨²¢ « 9¤ ± 2¤¤¶ «² The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is implementing the Multi Year Growth Strategy to increase our waiver capacity and allocations. If utilization is less than authorizations, additional waivers can be requested. New waiver requests can be pulled quarterly after our Multi Year Program Growth Strategy is fully implemented. Other counties have been successful in gaining waiver capacities with implementation of this strategy. ODP is focused on frequency and duration within the Individual Support Plan (ISP). If an individual is supposed to have services twice a week but only typically utilizes once a week that will need to be documented within the ISP as this will free up funding for the IDD program. As providers, please make sure that the units that you are requesting are the units that you are actually utilizing. Please review utilizations at quarterly meetings. ODP is requiring residential providers to be within 90% of utilization and Community Participation Supports (CPS) providers within 80% of authorizations. In the past, we did 400 units for residential authorizations for fiscal renewals. This year we will do 365 units. Please look at your historical utilization for all service delivery units to make sure that you request the proper number of units. IDD has been approved for additional capacity for graduates and age-out participants for next fiscal year. Fiscal year renewals are usually completed the last week of June for waiver individuals. 0±¨®±¨³¨¹ ³¨® ®¥ 5±¦¤¢¸ ®¥ .¤¤£² ¥®± 3¤±µ¨¢¤² ȨPUNS) The PUNS is a tool for the Administrative Entity (AE) and support coordination organization (SCO) to review the needs of individuals. Future needs or wants should not be listed as emergency PUNS. To effectively plan for the future of the IDD program and properly serve individuals, please do not use the emergency PUNS list as a wish list. - ±¨® 2®¶¤ %³¤±¯±¨²¤ )¢¨£¤³ -  ¦¤¬¤³ Ȩ%)-ȩ 5¯£ ³¤² Marion will include in the handouts a reminder of the protocol and required questions for falls and choking incidents. Please share that information with any incident management staff. Marion has been receiving a lot of feedback from Christina Yeager with Advocacy Alliance regarding uploaded documents from emergency room or hospital visits. Please be sure to upload all discharge and follow-up documentation in your report. If an individual has a specific medical diagnosis relating to the report, it is very important that you include that information in the first section of the report as well as any protocol information that your staff is following relating to the report. Since Provider Meeting Friday, May 16, 2025 ODP is not familiar with the individuals, the more details that you add in the report will be helpful. Missed reports that we are following up with you on could be a result of billing codes that may be related to a reportable incident, abuse, neglect, or a head injury. They will go back to ODP due to the missing EIM report. If the provider was not responsible for a report, such in the case of a home visit, we can report back and tell ODP that an EIM report is not needed. If the provider is responsible for entering a report, you are required to provide an explanation as to why the report was not entered and what policies are in place to prevent it from happening again. A corrective action needs to be completed if a report was not entered when it should have been. /³§¤± 5¯£ ³¤² - Marion has been working on improving communication between county investigators, individuals, and families. The families are not familiar with the investigators; therefore, they are not willing to meet or return phone calls. Moving forward, SCOs and support coordinators (SCs) will be made aware of who the assigned investigator is as well as their contact information. The EIM Process Guide from ODP will also be given to families to help explain the process and what they can expect. If the investigator continues to struggle to connect, they will reach out to the SC or provider. Please ensure that staff are aware of investigations and are helping to get interviews scheduled and make the investigation process more efficient. If there is a specific staff member that you would like the investigators to reach out to, please respond to the email with their contact information. Once a staff member has been involved in an investigation they are considered a target. When the target is ready to return to work, ODP will inquire about the counseling that was done prior to their return, and whether the individual is ok to work with that staff member again. This information needs to be documented in the corrective action. Marion is also working to improve communication between Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and the SCOs regarding individuals that are open with the IDD program and the Community Based Work Assessment details. Please be specific when relaying the employment goals on the assessments and ISPs. Marion will pass along any additional details as she receives them.
