They are looking to hire additional therapists. The current therapists that have availability for ages eight (8) and older, have training in Evidence Based Trauma Therapies. Because they are a private practice and do not have a psychiatrist on staff, they may not be the best choice for high need individuals that are stepping down from residential or moving between different levels of care. They offer both in-person and telehealth services. They have a few therapists that are telehealth only. Telehealth is only offered to clients fourteen (14) and older. They accept Medical Assistance (MA) as well as a few private insurances. /¢¢´¯ ³¨® « 3¤±µ¨¢¤²Ǿ )¢ȁ Ȩ/3)ȩ OSI started services for a MH individual earlier this week. The individual is doing well. The new facility will be a locked unit with sixteen (16) beds, eight (8) for Franklin/Fulton and eight (8) for Cumberland/Perry. This facility will house individuals with criminal backgrounds. New Visions employs a part-time psychiatrist as well as two (2) mental health professionals that provide counseling and psychiatric medications. Miki has been meeting with the contractors and engineers at least once a month to stay updated in the process. New Visions currently operates a similar facility in Carlisle which has a wait list. Miki anticipates that the Shippensburg facility will also operate on a wait list. Natalie Campbell shared that AHEDD has a grant for the Transition to Adult Life Services (TALS) program that is used in Franklin County school districts. The thth program helps facilitate 11 and 12 grade students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) transition into the workforce. AHEDD has been in contact with the local school districts to help spread the word about the program. A new provider, Step by Step Inc., will be presenting at the next Provider Meeting in September. --------------------------------- Any providers that would like to be in the Provider Spotlight to share information about their services, please let Jim know. #®´³¸ !®´¢¤¬¤³²ȝ)¥®±¬ ³¨® 2¤¯®±³² $´¤ 3¨¢¤ /´± , ²³ -( 0±®µ¨£¤± -¤¤³¨¦ o Appendix A for the upcoming fiscal year o Budget packets (to include Budget/Rate Letter, Staff Roster, Unit Assumptions, Budget Narrative for upcoming fiscal year; if appropriate) o Quarterly Report of Expenditures (January - March) 2¤¯®±³² $´¤ 0±¨®± 4® /´± , ²³ -( 0±®µ¨£¤± -¤¤³¨¦ o Audited Financial Report (for calendar year ending 12/31) o Audit Engagement/Extension Letter (for FY ending 6/30) o Progress Report on Outcomes in Appendix A o Quarterly Report of Expenditures (April-June) o Property Purchased/Property Leased Report (for FY ending 6/30) MH 2 6/13/25 Mental Health Provider Meeting Friday, June 13, 2025 o Fixed Assets Purchased with MH/IDD/EI funds (for FY ending 6/30) 5¯£ ³¤² ¥±®¬ -¤³ « (¤ «³§ 3³ ¥¥ o Ashley McCartney There is a lot of uncertainty regarding federal budgets and the impact it will have on state and local funding going into fiscal year (FY) 25-26. Fiscal is currently working on the options that providers have selected for FY 25-26 in terms of whether they would like to hold off until the allocation is received or contract now. MH would like to reinstate monthly fiscal check-ins for February through June. This will ensure that provider needs and funding are accounted for moving into the end of the fiscal year. If you are a provider that submits a fiscal budget packet, please feel free to contact Ashley by email or phone. If anyone has any fiscal questions, please contact Ashley (almccartney@franklincountypa.gov). o On Behalf of Cori Seilhamer There are three (3) free PESI trainings available. Information has been sent out regarding the trainings. If anyone has any questions, please contact Cori (caseilhamer@franklincountypa.gov). There has been positive feedback shared regarding the trainings so far. o Jim Gilbert Keystone Human Services currently operates the Specialized Community th Residence (SCR) on McKinley Street. The contract ends June 30 and Step by Step Inc. will be taking over. The majority of staff are going to transition from Keystone to Step by Step. The residents will not see any interruption in services during the transition. More to come regarding the SCR. The bed capacity for Danville State Hospital is five (5). We are currently at twelve (12). Jim feels that some of the individuals that have been there for a while are not ready to be discharged back into the community and for others, there is a lack of appropriate housing. Danville State Hospital is having issues in regards to discharging individuals throughout all counties. Warren State Hospital in northwestern PA has made some of their beds available for the Danville service area. MH currently has two (2) individuals in the Warren State Hospital. These individuals are on a waiting list for Danville in the event that they are not discharged beforehand. MH 3 6/13/25 Mental Health Provider Meeting Friday, June 13, 2025 Liz Campbell asked if there are any system updates for the challenges with local assistance for 988 calls. Erin Nye shared that there have recently been some changes and that the main cell phone providers have agreed to allow georouting to be used to route calls to the nearest call center. There is a chance they will be routed to a different call center if all local representatives are busy. Miki Kerr asked if 302s have to be handled in the own county. Jim Gilbert responded that their county would be the preference and that additional discussions need to be held in regard to Shippensburg individuals and the closing of the Carlisle Crisis Center. Individuals have the option to go to Carlisle; however, they would have to wait for the mobile response team. Another option would be Connections in Harrisburg. Erin Nye responded that PerformCare documents indicated that individuals aged fourteen (14) and above should go to Connections or Holy Spirit Hospital and those under age 14 should contact 988 or call the local crisis number. Kristy Jones asked if there has been any communication regarding the PA State Police (PSP) performing well checks. SAM recently requested a well check be done for an individual outside of the Chambersburg Borough. PSP requested a 302 be done before they would go out. Jim confirmed that PSP is now requiring a 302 petition. Erin Nye commented that it is due to safety issues and legal rights and that Cori Seilhamer has been working with PSP on Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training and collaboration. It was agreed that additional discussions should be held in regard to this issue and the impact 4§¤ ¬¤¤³¨¦ ¶ ²  £©®´±¤£ȁ .¤·³ -¤¤³¨¦Ȁ Friday, September 12, 2025 starting at 10:00 a.m. in the front conference rooms at the Human Services Building (425 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg) ¨ ¯¤±²® ®«¸ȅ 2¤¬ ¨¨¦ 2025 Meetings: th th September 12 December 12 Minutes by Angela Alleman MH 4 6/13/25
