FRANKLIN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

Members In Attendance: George Pomeroy, David Mackley, Austin Rosenbaum, Andrew Paszkowski, Ron
Madison, Chris Ardinger, Daniel Myers, Richard Hissong, John Poniske
I. Welcome and introduction- George Pomeroy welcomes the board and introduces Daniel Myers to the
Committee II. Reorganization – Election of Officers
a. Chair – David put forward nomination for Dr. Pomeroy, Austin seconds. Approved unanimously.
b. Vice-Chair – Austin put forward nomination for Andy, David seconds. Approved unanimously.
c. Secretary – Dave put forward nomination for Ron, Chris seconds. Approved unanimously.
III. Approval of Minutes – Nov. 7, 2024 & February 6, 2025 –Andrew introduces the November 7, 2024 &
February 6, 2025 minutes for approval, David seconds. Motion approved.

V. Public Comment- No Public Comment
VI. Staff Reports
a. Staff Reports as submitted-
i. Colleen Tidd has been hired for the Senior Planner position. Will balance with CDBG
duties until a new CDBG position is posted and hired.
ii. Solid Waste Plan
iii. Annual Report
iv. Rail Trail- final draft report being sent out to MPO.
v. Farm Preservation
1. New farm put us at 20K acres September 19th
b. Acknowledgement of New Members
i. Daniel Myers
VII. Old Business-
a. Digital plan submission- integrate it into GIS. Quarter 3 and GIS into Quarter one of next year.
VIII. New Business-
a. Data centers – land use issue. Next “solar farm” Concerns.
IX. Subdivisions
a. November 2024 – April 2025
i. Chris- new development in Greencastle Greens
X. Remarks-
