In attendance:Bob Ziobrowski,Steve Thomas,Quentin Clapper,Zak Long,Sheena
Baker,Cody Barnhart,Dave Mackley,John Poniske,Andy Paszkowski,Austin
Rosenbaum,George Pomeroy
I.Welcome and introduction -George Pomeroy welcomes everyone to the
meeting.
II.Approval of Minutes –February 2,2023 -Motion to approve minutes made by
david mackley,seconded by John Poniske
III.Public Comment -No public in attendance
IV.Staff Reports
a.Staff Reports as submitted -Steve Thomas discusses our staff report that was
previously provided to the planning commission.John asks about the LRTP
update and Steve gives a brief explanation of what is contained in the LRTP and
how it was produced.
b.Director’s Report and Planning Update -Steve Thomas updates the
commission on the changes in the department with roles and responsibilities
that have been dispersed throughout the department after our recent staffing
change.
i.Staffing -Nicole Boling has left the county for Arlington county Planning.
Steve states we have interviews lined up for Community planner and Senior
Planner.
ii.Cumberland Valley Rail Trail Economic Impact Assessment -Economic study
happening now,feasibility study coming later.
iii.Mercersburg Borough Comprehensive Plan -Steve talks on the Mercersburg
Comprehensive plan update.
V.New Business
a.Comprehensive Plan Update -Quentin shows the Policy reports that
discusses land use and economic development to the group.Quentin displays the
ARC GIS site to the group.
B.Steve and Quentin show the Character area mapping that they are working
on.
VI.Subdivisions
a.February 2023 –May 2023 Motion by Dave Mackley to approve the reports,
John Poniske seconds.

a.Next meeting –Thursday,July 27,2023
