TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2010
The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, November 30, 2010, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of November 23, 2010 meeting was read. The minutes need further
review and could be approved Thursday, December 2, 2010 once corrections are
approved.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved
Thursday, December 2, 2010.
The Board reviewed Children & Youth matters. On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the Subsidized
Adoption Assistance Agreement on behalf of the Franklin County Children and Youth
Department for payment in the amount of $35.00/day for the period of December 4, 2010
through May 9, 2012, in addition a one time payment not to exceed $267.00 to cover
non-recurring adoption expenses.
Commissioner Keller announced that the Board participated in a severe weather
exercise yesterday. Commissioner Keller attended the debriefing on the exercise and
everyone handled the exercise appropriately. Building contacts communicated with staff
and checked on emergency equipment. The exercise also simulated a hazmat incident
on 81. There were lessons learned but in general staff is well prepared for such an
emergency and Commissioner Keller was impressed with the overall level of
participation.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
