TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 2011
The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, April 19, 2011, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
Commissioner Keller responded to a question asked by Mr. Piper at the last
meeting concerning an accident on I-81 involving a Deputy Sheriff and if the Sheriff
vehicle was demolished? Yes, there was an accident in the vicinity of I-81 and no the
vehicle was not demolished however it was damaged.
Allen Piper provided public comment and thanked Mr. Keller for responding to his
question and asked if there was a police report? Commissioner Keller advised Mr. Piper
that any further questions should be directed to the Sheriff department. Mr. Piper asked
if the van is being replaced or repaired and Commissioner Keller responded that the plan
is to repair it.
Ken Jones also provided public comment and advised the Board he was
watching the news this morning and caught an interview with Bob Sheaffer who is
jumping on the band wagon of 14 Trillion deficit.
The minutes of April 12, 2011 and April 14, 2011 meetings were read. These will
be approved Thursday, April 21, 2011.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved
Thursday, April 21, 2011.
The Board recessed at 9:40 AM and will reconvene at 10:00 AM.
The Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes met to hear tax assessment
appeals.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:28 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
