The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 9, 2018, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. The Board attended the Prison Board meeting. Chairman Keller presided
and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of
Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of the January 2, 2018 and January 4, 2018 meetings were
reviewed. These will be decided upon on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. The following item
was approved today while the remaining items will be approved Thursday, January 11,
2018.
The Board reviewed Commissioners Office matters. On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the proposal from
Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc. for a feasibility study of the Administrative Annex at a
cost of$39,700.00.
John Hart, Project Manager, informed the Board and everyone in attendance of
two open houses scheduled for the Court Facility Improvement Project. The open
houses are scheduled for Thursday, January 11`" from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and
Tuesday, January 16`" from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Administrative Annex, 218 N
Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Mr. Hart announced that everyone is
welcome to attend and that the County has developed a website for anyone to provide
comments and view the information that was provided at the Wednesday, January 3rd
presentation. Commissioner Ziobrowski wanted to mention for the record that Mr. Hart
did an extraordinary job last week with the presentation and he also heard that comment
from many other people as well.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:48 a.m. this date for the
purpose to review potential litigation matters. No action will be required after executive
session. The Board reconvened into regular session at 10:09 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
