Trish reminded all providers if there are any issues with staff please contact Holly Whiteside or Matt Yingling. Trish reviewed the Ounce/COSF email that Holly sent out to providers on October 12th. It was an update on the changes with the Ounce System. A few things are a completed annual COSF for children is no longer needed, effective 10/23/11 a new screen in Pelican will take the place of the Ounce System; prior to this date you can continue to enter exit data into Ounce. Providers and therapists can complete previously used before Ounce forms and fax them to Holly for entry kids as well as exit kids. COR will no longer be assigned in Pelican; we will still continue to indicate on the 14-day deadline form for whoever is responsible for completing the COSF. (UCP provided COSF Crosswalk that will be attached with minutes.) Update on PBS Grant Positive Behavioral Support Grant for $30,000 is partnering with LIU and help from Dr. Amy Eskeridge. Stacey Ott from UCP will be overseeing all the programs this grant will help fund. Six home instructors for families will be available. This grant is another step closer to virtual communication with families and county staff, and will help with consultations and productivity of therapists. There are some questions of how using video of children could be confidential and paperwork for permission to use documentation for services continues to be worked out. Providers discussed how technology for this generation of children is becoming more and more developed and how they depend on it and use it in everyday life. Highlights of Leadership meeting If we have to begin making families provide co-pays for Early Intervention services, how will it affect the number of families we provide services for and how will the co-pays affect the counties budget? New Pelican page and ECO HCSIS website address has not changed from .state to .gov yet. Trish briefly reviewed the HCSIS Release 6.13.0 Overview with everyone. (Highlights will be attached with minutes.) Fiscal Updates Reminder to all providers to submit all billing to the county by the 15th of month. Megan is doing reminder emails; if there should be an issue or if adjustments to claims have been made please contact Megan Cook at mlcook@co.franklin.pa.us. Ed asked, “What are some of the issues that are causing billing submission to be later than the 15th of the month?” Providers stated that simply collecting all invoices from staff and submitting billing was the main problem, as well as not having EIX and MA numbers. Providers are revisiting their ways of collecting and submitting billing in a more efficient manner. Ed has been having problems connecting Jason at Invo Healthcare to discuss cost settlement for fiscal year 2009-2010. He is in the process of setting up a meeting with UCP because he’s still having problems reconciling revenue from previous fiscal years. Miscellaneous N/A The meeting was adjourned. The next EI Provider meeting is TBA at 425 Franklin Farm Lane in Chambersburg. Minutes by Jennifer Lipko
