The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, July 7, 2009, with the
following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously
approved to adopt the agenda.
Public comment was received from Allen Piper, President of Citizens for
Responsible Government who asked the board to discuss the specifics when signing the
contracts, agreements and reports since this is the public's business.
The minutes of June 30, 2009 and July 2, 2009 meetings were read. These will
be approved and signed on Thursday, July 9, 2009
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and
signed on Thursday, July 9, 2009.
The Board reviewed Jail matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Proposal from Police Central to
provide data conversion for the warrant system at a cost of $7,000.00. This is a
proprietary conversion of the current data into the Police Central System.
The Board reviewed Jail matters and conducted a bid opening for the Sale of
Kitchen Equipment. Three bidders submitted bids. On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski, seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to award certain
items to David Juavez for a total bid of $3,509.94 and certain items to Randy Jones
for a total bid of $1,835.00 as per attached sheets. These were the highest bids
received.
The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by David S. Keller.
