Home My WebLink About04-20-2023 TAC ReportFranklin County Metropolitan Planning Organization April TAC Update Report Apr 20, 2023 The Technical Advisory Committee of the MPO has cancelled the April 20th meeting due to a lack of action items. Below you will find an update from partner agencies and MPO Staff in place of the meeting. The next TAC meeting is scheduled for July 20, 2023 at 9:30 AM. Agency Updates •SRTP – March Activity Report provided to show recent efforts. •Rabbittransit – No report. •PennDOT Central Office – Please see the attached TIP administrative modifications. •PennDOT District 8-0 – No report. •FHWA – No Report Staff Update •The 2045 LRTP update was approved pending one minor adjustment by the MPO on April 6th. The press release and the Final Draft will soon be published on the Franklin County website. •The 2025 TIP update process will soon be in full swing. A draft financial and procedural guidance meeting was held on April 19. Staff will be working with PennDOT and the TAC as TIP development occurs to ensure that it addresses our performance measure targets and has local support. •The I-81 Study kicked off with a project summary meeting and driving tour at the end of March. The consultant is currently working to summarize previous studies along the corridor and looking through an engineering lens to highlight priority needs. •At the request of the MPO Chairman, Sam Cressler, applications were submitted to the offices of Senators Casey and Fetterman and Representative Joyce for FY24 appropriations funding to aid in completing Exit 12. According to the lists published by Senator Fetterman and Representative Joyce, neither chose to advance the Exit 12 project to the committee for review. Senator Casey’s office has not yet published the list of projects that they chose to advance. If there are any other updates that you would like to receive, please reach out to the planning department and we would be happy to provide information.
