HomeMy WebLinkAboutMH Provider Meeting 06-09-23 Mental Health Provider Meeting Friday, June 9, 2023 MEETING MINUTES Welcome and Introductions This meeting was held via Google Meet. Jim Gilbert confirmed which providers were in attendance at the start of the meeting. Provider Announcements and Updates Keystone Rural Health Center Keystone has a new adult psychiatrist starting in July Dr. Wanda Gobin. A new therapist, Arielle Helm, will be starting in June. Keystone also has a commitment from a new psychiatric nurse practitioner but there is no start date at this time. Chamber Drive. Keystone Behavioral Health will be moving into the building on the second thnd floor on September 28-29. It will be open for business October 2. Keystone is planning for a psychiatric urgent care for the Southgate expansion project. The plan is to have this up and running by July 1, 2025. There will be a residents program for family physicians which has to begin on July 1, 2025. Service Access & Management Blended case management (BCM) is continuing to accept referrals. Referrals are being opened within seven (7) days. SAM submitted and was approved for a waiver from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) to allow case managers to carry a caseload up to 40 individuals. Currently, case managers have around 30 cases so there is room to accept referrals and open them in a timely manner. AHEDD AHEDD is hiring for a part-time employment specialist. Occupational Services, Inc. OSI is accepting referrals for their programs! TrueNorth Wellness Services TrueNorth was unable to be present but shared the following through email prior TrueNorth has some prospective staff in the fringes that may come to work for them. TrueNorth continues to operate with only one (1) therapist. Standing Agenda Items Tuscarora Managed Care Alliance Brad Coccagna TMCA had no updates to report. PerformCare Update Brian Gannon PerformCare had no updates to report. Community Resource Spotlight There was no Community Resource Spotlight for this meeting. If anyone has any suggestions for future presentations, please let Jim know. He will coordinate a schedule. County Announcements/Information Reports Due Since Our Last MH Provider Meeting o Quarterly Report of Expenditures (January-March) o Appendix A for upcoming fiscal year o Budget packets (to include: Budget/Rate Letter, Staff Roster, Unit Assumptions, Budget Narrative for upcoming fiscal yearif appropriate) Reports Due Prior To Our Last MH Provider Meeting o Audited Financial Report (for calendar year ending 12/31) o Audit Engagement/Extension Letter (for FY ending 6/30) o Progress Report on Outcomes in Appendix A o Quarterly Report of Expenditures (April-June) o Property Purchased/Property Leased Report (for FY ending 6/30) o Fixed Assets Purchased with MH/IDD/EI funds (for FY ending 6/30) Updates from Mental Health Staff o Ashley McCartney If anyone has any fiscal related questions, please email the mhfiscal@franklincountypa.gov email address. Ashley will be sending an email to billing staff requesting that with the June invoices providers include a list of the total number of individuals served in FY22-23 as well as a count for the unduplicated individuals served for FY22-23 o Erin Nye An email went out to all providers regarding the Federal Notification of HIPPA Rights (OCR) is providing a 90-calendar day transition period for covered health care providers to come into compliance with the HIPAA Rules with respect to their provision of telehealth. The transition period will be in effect beginning on May 12, 2023 and will expire at 11:59 p.m. on August 9, 2023. Please make sure you are utilizing a HIPAA compliant platform. Contracts are coming out through Adobe Sign. Some have already received their contracts but others may not have yet. The emails will come from either Adobe or Kristina Powers. If any of your contract information (such as signers, etc.) has changed, please let us know. o Jim Gilbert Mental Health has released a request for proposal (RFP) for a consultant to work with us in regard to the crisis service provision in Franklin and Fulton Counties. Today is the deadline to submit proposals. A pre-proposal meeting took place recently for agencies that were interested. This meeting gave opportunity to pose MH 2 6/9/23 Mental Health Provider Meeting Friday, June 9, 2023 the September provider meeting. MH is excited about this opportunity and to see what the selected consultant will share as well as the feedback they will provide. o Kim Lucas th Next Friday, June 16 guest speaker from Women in Need will present on the numerous new support groups they have. Kim will be sending out the link either today or early next week for those who are interested in attending. The meeting was adjourned.
