The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, February 9, 2010, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
The minutes of February 2, 2010 and February 4, 2010 meetings were read.
These will be approved Thursday, February 11, 2010.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved
Thursday, February 11, 2010.
The Board reviewed Fiscal matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the Interlocal Agreements
between the County of Franklin and the Franklin County Emergency Services Alliance
for the County to reimburse the Alliance a total not to exceed $364,690.80 of COPS
grants funds for the radios purchased by law enforcement agencies of the Alliance
included in the grant application and will include the following law enforcement agencies:
Chambersburg Borough Police, Greencastle Borough Police, Mercersburg Police
Department, Washington Township Police Department and Waynesboro Police
Department. These Agreements list the total units for each agency and the amount
each will receive in reimbursement.
John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator informed the Board of the following
items: Declaration of Disaster Emergency that the Board signed due to the recent snow
storm that hit the County on February 4-5, 2010; Also provided an update on the
Department of Emergency Services drill on Friday, February 4tn
The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:41 a.m. this date for the
purpose to review Real Estate Negotiations matters. The Board reconvened into
regular session at 10:07 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:12 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
