Hi, I am Tiffany Bloyer, the Franklin County Human Resources Director. Today is
an exciting evening! As we know, there continues to be an extraordinary demand
for skilled nursing care in Franklin County. Fortunately, our Commissioners
recognized this need and asked us to structure a scholarship with this in mind.
this specific purpose.
-qualified and deserving recipients
to receive a $2,500 non-renewable scholarship. The Franklin County Nursing
Scholarship is open to all high school seniors living and attending high school, for
at least 1 consecutive year in Franklin County, and who have been accepted into
an accredited four-year nursing program. This year, we received fourteen
applications.
I, along with 2 other well-respected local Chief Nursing Officers: 9ƌǤƭĻ CźƭƌĻ r, Vice
President of Patient Services and CNO for Wellspan and aƚƓźĭğ 5źĻŷƌ, CNO for
applications, official transcripts, essays and character references individually.
Then we collectively collaborate our rubric scores to choose 6 recipients. Our
applicants regularly demonstrate involvement in extra-curricular and community-
related activities, with a majority of the students committed to volunteering
within the field of nursing.
Now, it is my pleasure to introduce to you the 2024 Franklin County Nursing

healthcare is highly commendable. I sincerely hope these enthusiastic students
will seek a career path locally and create a positive impact on the lives of the
residents of Franklin County.
Two of our recipients were not able to join us this evening.
