Jenn will share information and updates during the July EI Provider Meeting. Early Intervention Provider Meeting Wednesday, April 16, 2025 0±®µ¨£¤± 2¤¦¨²³±¸ Updates There have been a few updates to the Provider Registry to streamline the process and address some issues. Pediatric CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter information no longer needs to be entered in two (2) places. These topics only need to be entered under the Training section. We have automatically updated existing entries in the Training section to reflect the new topic name. It is recommended that users log in to review their training records and verify that topics are correctly coded. If your information was only entered in the Education section, you will need to add it to the Training section in order to be in compliance. The Interventionist Clearances and Licenses report has also been updated to reflect these changes. *Please be sure not to mark the yearly Refresher Courses as Mandated Reporter. It Jenn will update everyone with an email address to use in the event of technical issues. Provider Registry Resources can be found at https://www.eita-pa.org/resources/. The resource tabs available are: Laws, Regulations, and OCDEL Announcements Early Intervention Publications Early Intervention Forms These tabs will take you to the websites where the information is located. 2¤¬¨£¤±² Please make sure staff are entering training certificates throughout the year. Please also make sure that they're aware of how many hours they have and any training that needs to be completed. In addition, please make sure that licenses, clearances, and certificates are uploaded in all the correct areas. Jenn is aware there have been some conflicting information regarding new hires. At this time, please continue to send all new hire information directly to Jenn prior to starting a new staff person and entering them into the provider registry. The Early Intervention Technical Assistance (EITA) portal is a wealth of information; providers and staff are encouraged to check it out. Providers can use the portal to sign up to receive newsletters, get tips on coaching, and information that can be shared with families. will allow users to sign up for trainings. EITA also has a user-friendly app that providers can encourage families to download. The app has a section with developmental milestones as well as other information for families. Early Intervention Provider Meeting Wednesday, April 16, 2025 $¤³¤±¬¨ ³¨®  £ 1´ «¨³¸ %§ ¢¤¬¤³ 0«  ȨQEP) Determination Every year the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) pulls our data and reviews the family survey results. Our 2025 determination levels indicate that we have met requirement levels for all areas. There are a few questions where we did not meet the performance criteria. Those missed questions are in the Family Survey Data and Pelican Data sections. Please refer to the attached PowerPoint in those sections for the specific questions. Jenn feels that the missed questions on the Family Survey Data sections are due to misunderstandings with the families and the documents that they sign in relation to the survey. For the Pelican Data sections, we need to make sure that families are getting the transition meetings for toddlers between the ages of 27 months and 33 months. 1´ «¨³¸ %§ ¢¤¬¤³ 0«  ȨQEP) Our yearly QEP was completed in February. The results are based on our transition and provider qualifications and information. We had one (1) provider that missed something on their qualifications and annual training. This caused us to make corrections of non-compliance findings which affected our results. Jenn reiterated the need to make sure that the transition meetings for toddlers between the ages of 27 months and 33 months are being held. We need to pull the transition data from OCDEL each month to make sure that we are meeting those deadlines. Jenn asked that providers check the Provider Registry to make sure that they are up to date for qualifications and clearances. Jenn feels there were some technical issues this year, and she has voiced her opinion on these issues to OCDEL. Unfortunately, they would not update our reports. Interpretation Communication Both Krista Miracle and Cynthia Bosserman commented that things have been going well, and communication has improved. Please reach out to Jenn if any issues arise. P%3) 4± ¨¨¦ Opportunities Franklin/Fulton Mental Health is offering free PESI trainings again this fiscal year. The trainings being offered are: Complex Trauma Treatment Master Class Certification in Geriatric Care Youth Mental Health in Crisis These trainings would not count as infant and toddler training time, however, they could possibly be counted as licensed therapist training time. Trainings will be available for one (1) year. Those interested in the trainings will need to complete the registration form that was attached in the email from Erin Nye and send it to Cori Seilhamer (caseilhamer@franklincountypa.gov). If you have previously Early Intervention Provider Meeting Wednesday, April 16, 2025 completed PESI trainings, you can use the same log in credentials. Once you have completed the training, please send your certificate of completion to Cori. !££¨³¨® « 5¯£ ³¤² - %) 0±®µ¨£¤± 2®²³¤± 5¯£ ³¤ Please send Jenn any updates to the EI roster. -¨²¢¤«« ¤®´² $¨²¢´²²¨® Krista Miracle commented that she has three (3) pieces of equipment that were donated by families and asked if she could send out a picture of the equipment to see if anyone could use them. She also asked if no one is interested, could they be donated to lending library. Marci Walbourn shared that there are a few options. They could be listed in the on- site or statewide lending library, where families can borrow the equipment to see if it fits their needs prior to purchasing. The items can be cleaned, refurbished, and sent to an organization called Changing Hands, which donates the equipment to families in need. Marci suggested that providers and families follow Changing Hands Facebook page to see all the equipment that is available. Please let Marci know if you need any additional information on these resources. The items could also be donated to Pediatric Movement Equipment in Hagerstown, MD. Krista Miracle asked Jessica Confer if providers should be listing Heather Cook as SC for load between Heather and Rachel. Jessica will update providers once she has a final plan worked out. rd United Way Learn and Play Day will be held on May 3 at the United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. This is a free event with activities for younger children. Jenn will be attending and helping at the Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) table.
