Ed Franchi/Fiscal Updates: Interim Cost Settlement Ed continues to work on interim and prior year cost settlement. Everything continues to go well and money to the county has been received and applied to appropriate fiscal years. If anyone has any questions please contact Ed via email at eefranchi@4umgt.com . Beth Palmatier, Program Coordinator- Mental Health Association IM4Q Beth Palmatier is a program coordinator of the Mental Health Association in Chambersburg. She works specifically with the Individual Monitoring for Quality surveys. She enters all quality information into HCSIS. She will be contacting all providers in the next few weeks to go over any issues or questions about IM4Q surveys that will help improve services and supports. Lori Young: 2012 Quality Management Report Lori discussed some highlights from the report included: no restraints (goal remains the same); life-sharing is the same; employment is the same; PUNS increased from 52% to 81%; increase number of individuals over the age of 14 carrying ID cards; communications goal to increase forms to be completed at ISPs for residential and day programs; increase number of registered voters (not necessarily to vote), but to simply register; and reduce number of individual to individual abuse incidents. Update on Provider Monitoring Lori stated that the Zoomerang issues have been resolved. There have been two provider audits scheduled for spring. All audits need to be scheduled by December 31st. Providers should contact Lori Young with any questions: llyoung@co.franklin.pa.us Reminders There will be a Medication Errors training done through HCQU on January 13, 2012 at 10 am at the Annex. Jane Cline: RFP Franklin/Fulton County has issued a Request for Proposals for a residential or day program in Fulton County. We will fund start-up costs and waiver dollars will pay for long term costs of the facility. Currently there are eleven individuals receiving waiver funding in Fulton County. Rates Rates have been loaded into HCSIS. Providers must check units for July 1 through November 14th and the units from November 15th until June 30th requests for additional units to complete billing up to November 14 need to go to Jane. . HCSIS automatically split the units and did not leave units to complete billing. Therapeutic and Medical Leave The new therapeutic and medical paid billing days go in to effect November 15allowing providers to bill for up to 60 days for when individuals are absent from the residential programs. July 1 through November 14th individuals absence from residential programs do not count this year.does not count. Outcome Training Jane reminded providers to please attend the Outcome Training that ODP provides. General discussion on some points of the training. Licensure Issues: ISPs & Assessments Some issues that Licensure is having is that there are things that were not in the ISPs; any things that needs to be in an ISP, needs to be in the initial and annual provider assessment; and if it’s not stated in the assessment it doesn’t get put into the ISP. Family Care Services recently were cited for not having “Declination” if the team members want a copy of ISP on file. 2012 Provider Meeting Dates 2012 Provider dates are February 3rd, May 4th, August 3rd, and November 2nd in 155/156 of the Human Service Building from 10 AM- 12 PM. Provider updates: Family Care Services o Has some Life Sharing home vacancies. Arc– o Christmas parties are scheduled for December 10th at the Fulton County Theater in McConnellsburg and on December 15th at the St Paul Methodist Church in Chambersburg at 7 PM. Mentor o Has Life Sharing home available in Franklin County. Occupational Services, Inc. o E.T. program changes that were effective November 1st are a 6-1 ratio for staff.
