Si(1~ø¥-- ØWt~~fe(r Franklin County Planner TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AMENDMENT OF THE ANTRIM TOWNSHIP ZONING CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM Please take notice that the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors shall be holding a public hearing in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended. The purpose of the hearing shall be to gather public comments concerning the proposed amendment to the Antrim Township Zoning Chapter. The public hearing shall be held on February 28, 2006 at approximately 8:00 P.M., at the Township office building located at 10655 Antrim Church Rd., Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The Board intends on considering enactment of the proposed amendment immediately after the public hearing during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board to be held at the Township office building Please take further notice that copies of the proposed amendment may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof from the Township Secretary at the Township office building. A brief summary of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment, is as set forth below: TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM, FRANKLIN COUNTY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO. OF 2006 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANTRIM TOWNSHIP ZONING CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM The first part of the ordinance contains several whereas paragraphs providing the authority to enact the Amendment. SECTION 1 - This section provides for deleting a section of the zoning chapter and replacing with a new section with regards to double single-family semidetached dwelling. SECTION 2 - This section provides for aÌ1 effective date of the Ordinance. SECTION 3 - This section provides for a repealer of all other Township Ordinances in conflict with the Ordinance to be enacted. TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM, FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO. OF 2006 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANTRIM TOWNSHIP ZONING AND SUBDIVISION CHAPTERS OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ANTRIM WHEREAS, the Township of Antrim currently has zoning regulations as set forth in Chapter 150 of the Code of the Township of Antrim, Pennsylvania; and WHEREAS, the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors desire to amend said chapter 150 in order to promote the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Township; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED, by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Antrim pursuant to the "Pennsylvania Municipalities Code" (53 P.S.§10101 et seq.) as follows: Section 1 - Section 150-78 of the Code of the Township of Antrim Pennsylvania entitled "Double single-family semidetached dwelling" shall be amended by deleting the section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: A double home shall satisfy zoning minimum area requirements on a single lot or on a combination of two lots. When two lots are used, only one side yard will be required on each lot and the total lot area of the two lots shall meet the lot area requirement for the applicable Zoning District. On a corner lot, a double home, whether on one or two lots, must meet the requirements presented in § 150-63A of this Article. It will not be necessary to make each unit of a double unit equally sized. Section 2 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective in accordance with the law. Section 3 - Repealer. All other Township ordinances, or parts of other ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Section 4- Severabilitv. If any article, section, or provision of this Ordinance should be decided by the Courts to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of this Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional or invalid.
