Box 215 Scodand, P A 17201-0215 RE: Zoning Amendment - Creation of Medium Density Commercial District Dear Mr. Brookens, The Franklin County Planning Department recently received notice of the proposed zoning amendment to create a medium density commercial zoning district. We understand that this new district is intended to act as a buffer between the existing commercial activities in the immediate vicinity of Exit 17 of Interstate 81 and the residential development that exists to the north of this area. Staff has reviewed this proposed amendment and fmds that this district and its intended uses are in compliance with the goals and objectives of the Franklin County Comprehensive Plan. Most specifically, it "provides for orderly patterns of land uses that are compatible between uses and across municipal borders".
