Sincerely, . eering Services Cc: Waynesboro Planning Commission Waynesboro Borough Council r r.J I r'f !..J .í.r ORDINANCE NO. _ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 937, THE WA YNESBORO ZONING ORDINANCE, ADOPTED DECEMBER 4, 1991, AS AMENDED Be it enacted and ordained by the Borough Council of the Borough of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and it is .hereby enacted and ordained by the authority of the same: Ordinance No. 937 is hereby amended to include the following: ARTICLE XI, SECTION 78A - Permitted signs in the Town Center District (TC). In all Town Center Districts, the following signs shall be permitted and no others: A. Any sign permitted in any residential or Hospital/Office District, provided the use to which it refers is permitted in the Town Center District in which it is located. B. A business sign as herein defined, provided it complies with the following regulations: (1 ) The sign must be on the property to which it relates. (2) Such a sign may be erected within the building setback area and not connected to any building, provided that the maximum sign area shall not exceed forty (40) square feet. Only one (1) such sign shall be permitted. (3) One (1) or more signs may be attached to or mounted on a building front, provided that the total sign area of such sign or signs shall not exceed fifty (50) square feet or ten percent (10%) of the building front surface area to which it is attached, whichever is less. (4) On any tract within a Town Center District owned in single and separate ownership wt')ere a group of four (4) or more separate business entities function as a unit, in addition to signs permitted for individual establishments, there shall be permitted one (1) sign for every street frontage indicating the name of the business center and/or names of individual establishments within the center, provided that the area of anyone (1) side of such sign shall not exceed twenty-five (25) square feet, and provided that the location and orientation of such sign shall be designated on or in connection with the required development plan. In all other respects, Ordinance No. 937, enacted December 4, 1991, is hereby ratified and affirmed. . This ordinance shall be become effective upon adoption.
