In addition, the commercial establishments must also separate and recycle high -grade office paper and cardboard. The Borough's Sanitation crew picks up all recyclables except for the large products of used cardboard and paper. Those establishments contract with a private hauler to recycle and report to the Borough how much was recycled. The Borough also has a weekend drop -off center for newsprint. The Borough of Chambersburg in February 1994 changed its program from using Chambersburg Wastepaper Company as its recycling market to using Letterkenny Army Depot's recycling system. On May 10, 1998, the Letterkenny recycling program closed. The Borough of Chambersburg has completed an agreement with Washington Township and takes all our recyclables to the Washington Township Transfer Station. BOROUGH COLLECTION PROGRAM (in lbs.)
