RE: Recycling Program — Annual Report
Please find enclosed the reporting form for the 2010 Annual Report. Please indicate, on the
form, the amount of material that was recycled in your municipality and return it to this
office by Friday, February 28, 2011. If you do not have a formal drop -off or curbside
recycling program, but collected material through a special program, i.e., a bulky item
collection where some of the material was sent to a recycling center to be recycled, please
include that information on this form. If you have nothing to report, please note it on the
form and return to the office anyway.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.

*Report only post- consumer materials on this form. Post - consumer material: Material that has been used as a
consumer item and then diverted from municipal solid waste for the purpose of collection and recycling. The term
excludes material generated in manufacturing and converting processes such as manufacturing scrap and
trimmings /cuttings. Also, print overruns, overissue publications, and obsolete inventories that did not leave the
generating facility would be classified as pre- consumer materials and should not be reported on this form.
* *Processing residue: Material that is collected and weighed with recyclables, but is disposed rather than recycled.
