Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. Chairman Keller asked to include Commissioners time to the agenda to respond to Mr. Jones questions from a recent meeting. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the amended agenda. Chairman Keller said Ken Jones posted questions from a recent board meeting. The questions were: When was the last time taxes went down? What is an adequate amount of the taxpayers’ money that should be taken? What amount of taxpayer earned money should they be allowed to keep? Who should be deciding the amount of worker pay they should be allowed to keep? Should there be 50 workers paying for every 1 worker with their hands out for freebies? Chairman Keller said Mr. Jones questions were more rhetorical in nature and not intended for a response other than to make a point. He said the Board shares Mr. Jones concern that taxes should not be higher than necessary in order to provide for the health, safety and general welfare of County residents in an open and caring manner. Charlie Morgan provided public comment and wanted to thank the Commissioners for finding a way to answer questions for him and his friends about MH/ID/EI. Allen Piper provided public comment and wanted to know when his questions from last week will be answered. Chairman Keller responded the Board will respond to him in the near future. Mary Burkholder provided public comment and asked if the Board found out the salary of the Domestic Relations Officer that was approved last week since the lady didn’t know the salary during the meeting. John Hart, County Administrator said the salary was provided during the meeting and it was budgeted at $46,873 but depending on qualifications and experience this may need adjusted but won’t know until a person is hired.
