HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-05-04 ID Provider meeting Franklin/Fulton Intellectual Disabilities Program Providers Meeting May 4, 2012 Minutes Introductions: Everyone introduced themselves and their agency affiliation. Fiscal Updates ~ Ed Franchi Cost settlement activities are continuing. Ed is currently working with the Controller’s office to get payments to applicable providers. Finalizing financial audit desk review for applicable Providers, Fiscal Updates ~ Megan Cook Megan provided a reminder that all billing for FY 11/12 must be submitted by August 15, 2012. SCO ~ Kelly Truman  ISP process: If SC is acting as the team lead, they are only required to have ISPs distributed with 30 days of the ISP due day. Providers should send ISP requests to meet their licensing requirements if needed. Providers expressed concern that discrepancies between provider licensing inspections and ODP ISP requirements are creating a lot of additional work, i.e., sending requests within thirty days. SCO will continue to work to have IDSP’s distributed within thirty days. However, if provider has not received it, they should send request as documentation for licensing requirements. Lori Young  QM: provided the quarterly report for review. AE will continue to complete an annual and quarterly report but is no longer required to submit them to the state.  Base Monitoring Tool: shared the new universal checklist for contracted providers.  Exclusion & debarment: continue to submit to Lori by the 15th of the month Jane Cline  Friendly Reminders for our Base Funded providers:  May 15th: Quarterly report of expenditures (Jan-Mar)  12/13 :FY renewal changes (ISP & billing) & Budget:  Rates are expected to be loaded in early June. Contracted providers should ensure that they have submitted all the appendix requirements and forward rate letters upon receipt so that 12/13 contracts can be in place by 7/1/12.  Reviewed some of the FY renewal changes: increase in P/FDS cap to $30,000. Addition of aide on transportation vehicles with 6 or more passengers will cause the transportation rate to increase therefore possibly creating a rippling effect (need to decrease other services). Marion Rowe  HCQU: Dual Diagnosis Training Series is available as a training through the HCQU. You can request the entire series or just sections of the series for staff training. Contact Marion if interested.  PPC: Dual Diagnosis emerging practices draft document is available to view. The finalized document along with the new bulletin is expected to be released shortly. Safer options trainings are being offered around the states for teams supporting individuals with challenging sexual behaviors. The HCQU and ODP have staff specializing in these two areas are great resources for support and information. Contact am AE Program Specialist for assistance,  Licensing will be under ARL as of 7/1/12  IM  IM refresher ~ May 18 at 10am (Old Senior Center /Annex). Send an e-mail if you plan to send staff from your agency.  Incident report enhancements: discussed the additional information changes in HCSiS that will allow you to pull more specific reports when tracking trends.  Certified Investigation summary: certified investigators must add section 4 from their investigative report to the summary page in HCSiS.  Customer Service Survey: Survey on Administrative staff will be distributed at the next provider meeting. A survey for the case management unit will be distributed in early fall via e-mail or survey monkey. Requested that providers distribute to all their staff. Round Table Discussion  New procedure statements are being developed for providers making any sort of purchase (land, vehicle, equipment) due to increased dollar limits.
