The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, August 25, 2015, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment
of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
Chairman Keller asked for approval with an amendment to delete the contract
with Gettle for wireless upgrade. He explained that staff has asked to pull this from the
agenda. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the amended agenda.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of the August 18, 2015 and August 20, 2015 meetings were
reviewed. These will be approved Thursday, August 27, 2015.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner
Thomas noticed the Adult Probation (APO) contracts used to be through Drug &Alcohol
in the past but has moved to Adult Probation. Carrie Gray, Assistant County
Administrator, responded that APO has taken over the Drug &Alcohol Restrictive
Intermediate Punishment Program to streamline the process. Chairman Keller said item
#11 is the efforts of the Veterans Affairs Office and Justin Slep, Veterans Affairs
Director, for soliciting donations for veterans programs including the Save a Vet/Save A
Pet program. Chairman Keller appreciates the community's response. Commissioner
Thomas said the money has come from veterans organizations. Commissioner Thomas
said he got his questions answered on item #9 with Syntrio, Inc. He said this online
training has been beneficial and is a very good training, as good as sitting in any
classroom. The items will be approved Thursday, August 27, 2015.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:47 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
