The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, February 6, 2018, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment
of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
Kim Wertz provided public comment and asked if Director Thierwechter could
provide more information on board action item #4, agreement with Raven Rock.
The minutes of the January 30, 2018 and February 1, 2018 meetings were
reviewed. These will be decided upon on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Chairman Keller
wanted to highlight item #8, for additional Laserfiche licenses for the Courts. He is
pleased to see that the law clerks and judges are taking advantage of this enhancement.
He further commented that the Records Improvement Committee provided funds for
scanning of criminal records back to 1992. This effort was coordinated by Todd Rock,
Clerk of Courts. John Thierwechter, Director of Emergency Services, explained the
agreement with Raven Rock is a reissuance of an agreement that we have had with
Raven Rock that under certain circumstances their fire department will respond when we
request their assistance. The items will be approved Thursday, February 8, 2018.
The Board reviewed appointments to the Franklin County Library System Board.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously
approved to appoint Ann Schnabel and Susanne Sponseller for a two (2) year term of
January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:44 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
