The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, March 26, 2019, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment
of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
Chairman Keller asked everyone in attendance to remember Delores Taylor's
family. Delores was a senior center employee who passed away unexpectedly.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
Chairman Keller also wanted to remember Shirley Lehman who was an Election
Judge for many years who passed away last week.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of the March 19, 2019 and March 21, 2019 meetings were
reviewed. These will be decided upon on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner
Thomas asked for more explanation on board action #9, agreement with Government
Software Services. Anita Keller, Director of Tax Services, explained that each year she
has to get bids to provide this required service but instead of doing one year, she asked
for a three year contract. She continued that anyone who has not paid their 2018 taxes
were turned over to Tax Claim and will receive one of these letters. By doing three
years, this will lock the County in at a price, except for postage which we can't control.
The items will be approved Thursday, March 28, 2019.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:07 p.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
