HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-05-26 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, MAY 26, 2009 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, May 26, 2009, with the following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. Public comment was received from Mr. Bud Bennett that he would like the Board and John Hart to speak louder because he is having a hard time hearing The minutes of May 19, 2009 and May 21, 2009 meetings were read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, May 28, 2009 The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, May 28, 2009. The Board reviewed Emergency Services matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved for the Chairman of the Board to execute the COPS Grant Application to U.S. Department of Justice requesting an amount of $500,000.00 to be used for the purchase of radios. The Board reviewed additional Emergency Services matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Radiation Emergency Response Fund Grant Agreement between the County of Franklin and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency for a grant amount of $6,618.00 for a period of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:45 a.m. this date for the purpose to review Potential Litigation matters. The Board reconvened into regular session at 10:05 a.m. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to recess at 10:05 a.m. and reconvene at 2:00 p.m. The Board attended a Franklin County Retirement Board meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller. FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
