HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-09-22 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, September 22, 2009, with the following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The minutes of September 15, 2009 and September 17, 2009 meetings were read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, September 24, 2009. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, September 24, 2009. The Board reviewed Property Management matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved Resolution #2009-12, which is attached and made a part of these minutes, for the purpose of emergency situation for radon mitigation services at Human Services Building. The Board reviewed additional Property Management matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Contract Addendum #1 to the contract dated August 2, 2009 between the County of Franklin and True Service, LLC to provide radon mitigation services at the Human Services Building for a new contracted amount of $4,460.00. All other terms and conditions of the original contract will remain in full force and effect. The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters. Richard Wynn, Human Services Administrator and Becky Greenawalt, Assistant Fiscal Director met with the Board to provide an update on the status of human services funding due to lack of a state budget. The County is continuing to receive some funding for 2008/2009 fiscal years but is still owed more. Have also received some funds for 2009/2010 fiscal years. Ms. Greenawalt stated that currently have nine weeks of funding available and with the current tentative state budget agreement should hold off on the Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note and the Tuscarora Managed Care Alliance funding. Mr. Wynn and Ms. Greenawalt will provide another update in two weeks to the Board. The meeting was adjourned at 9:36 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller.
