HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-10-20 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2009 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, October 20, 2009, with the following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by David S. Keller; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The minutes of October 13, 2009 and October 15, 2009 meetings were read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The Board met with the County Solicitor and the Assistant County Solicitor to review related matters. On a motion by David S. Keller; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:29 a.m. this date for the purpose to review potential litigation matters. The Board reconvened into regular session at 9:40 a.m. The Board recessed at 9:45 a.m. and will reconvene at 10:00 a.m. for assessment appeals. The Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes met to hear tax assessment appeals. Commissioner Ziobrowski entered the meeting room at 10:30 a.m. The Board reviewed Grants Management/MH/MR matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Grant Application to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requesting a grant in the amount of $94,578.00 with a county match of $9,856.00 to be used for Supportive Housing for Franklin/Fulton County MH consumers. This is year two of this HUD2 grant. Commissioner Thomas left the meeting room at 3:20 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 p.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller.
