HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-02-02 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2010 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, February 2, 2010, with the following members present: David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The minutes of January 26, 2010 and January 28, 2010 meetings were read. These will be approved Thursday, February 4, 2010. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved Thursday, February 4, 2010. The Board reviewed Commissioners Office matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Applications to encumber liquid fuels tax funds to PennDot to modify encumbrances due to change in source of funding. The Board reviewed Department of Emergency Services matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Quote from CDW-G for purchase of APC Smart UPS to replace the Liebert UBS at the Courthouse being moved to Building 426 at a cost of $10,995.00. The Board reviewed Department of Emergency Services matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Acceptance Certificate from General Electric Capital Corporation to certify that the workstation system described in the schedule to the agreement has been delivered to and received by the Lessee. The Board reviewed Fiscal matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Report of Act 44 tax Fund to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the year 2009. The Board reviewed Planning matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved for the Chairman of the Board to execute the Certification of County Funds for 2010 Program Year for total funds in the amount of $235,000.00 for the purchasing of agricultural conservation easements. This is a correction to action taken on January 21, 2010. John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator informed the Board of the following items: A comparison was done between Sprint Nextel and Verizon for County cell phones and Sprint Nextel is the cheapest.
