The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, April 13, 2010, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
The minutes of April 6, 2010 and April 8, 2010 meetings were read. These will
be approved Thursday, April 15, 2010.
The Board observed a moment of silence for Mr. Raymond Hussack, a former
County Sheriff who recently passed away.
Robert Brown, Telecommunicator and David Donohue, DES Director was
present for Mr. Brown to receive a Citation from the Board for helping to locate a woman
who was abducted from Florida and was found only because Mr. Brown did a search of
all hotels and motels in PA due to the husband calling to report that his wife called and
reported she was at the Econo Lodge in Waynesboro, PA. Since Waynesboro does not
have an Econo Lodge Mr. Brown searched all Econo Lodges in PA and was able to find
the victim in Waynesburg, PA and she was rescued.
Odessa Trinkle, MATP Coordinator, was present to explain the RouteMatch
Addendum that is in for Board Action this week. The total cost of this addendum will be
covered by a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Grant.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved
Thursday, April 15, 2010.
The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:36 a.m. this date for the
purpose to review Litigation matters. The Board reconvened into regular session at
10:23 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:32 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
