HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-06-22 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, JUNE 22, 2010 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, June 22, 2010, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. Judyann Kell, resident of Franklin County, provided public comment and would like to see the Courthouse on square not appropriate for it to be across from Corpus Christi School. There are also traffic issues in that area and it gets backed up. Historically courthouses should be in center of town and it’s been here for however many years. Regardless of where Board decides please put in a parking garage and do not pave more of the town, like the Hospital has done. Parking garage would be in order regardless of where they build. More people need to show up in person instead of blogging negative comments on the Public Opinion website. The minutes of June 15, 2010 and June 17, 2010 meetings were read. These will be approved Thursday, June 24, 2010. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved Thursday, June 17, 2010. Mary Beth Shank, Solicitor, asked for approval to prepare an ordinance to dissolve the current Local Elected Officials (LEO) of the Southcentral Employment Corporation (SEC) board. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to have solicitor move forward with developing an ordinance to repeal the current SEC ordinance and to restructure LEO’s and authorize a new LEO Agreement. The meeting was adjourned at 9:24 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas. FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
