HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-07-06 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, JULY 6, 2010 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, July 6, 2010, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The minutes of June 29, 2010 and July 1, 2010 meetings were read. These will be approved Thursday, July 8, 2010. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved Thursday, July 8, 2010. The Board reviewed Courts matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the Agreement between the Franklin County Commissioners and Franklin County Judges for the Court Reporters to not charge the County for transcript fees, court orders or miscellaneous fees and to move the grade from 19 to 21, effective July 1, 2010. This Agreement will be for the period of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. The Board reviewed Drug & Alcohol matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the Grant Agreement between the County of Franklin, County of Fulton and Department of Health, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs to provide funding for the Drug and Alcohol program for the period of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2015. John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator informed the Board of the following items: Credit cards are up and running in the Assessment office and is successful. County staff is questioning if would work in other county operations; looking if local municipalities and District Forester would recommend a burn ban. Have to have 50% of fire companies and the District Forester recommend a burn ban and then we would have to pass a resolution; Architect Engineer RFP’s are out and responses are due by July rd 23; misspoke about night court statement last week, there needs to be support from offices like Purchasing and Human Resources, would add to work load and would need to ramp up and need to accommodate people that work the second shift.
