TUESDAY, MARCH 15, 2011
The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, March 15, 2011, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
Ken Jones provided public comment and watched the stock market this morning
and the DOW, NASDAK, S&P 500, gold and silver are down plus oil dropped so it’s
amazing how the earthquake in Japan can affect the markets.
Bill Landis from Mercersburg also provided public comment and stated that
Japan is a major holder of U.S. bonds. This could also impact our markets.
The minutes of March 8, 2011 and March 10, 2011 meetings were read. These
will be approved Thursday, March 17, 2011.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved
Thursday, March 17, 2011.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:39 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
