HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-06-07 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2011 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, June 7, 2011, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. Commissioner Keller asked to move the Retirement Board meeting after press time and also John Hart would like to include general discussion on the agenda. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the amended agenda. There was no public comment. The minutes of May 31, 2011 and June 2, 2011 meetings were read. These will be approved Thursday, June 9, 2011. The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. The Board had questions about the Brindle Proposal and Rosenberry’s Catering Proposal and Mr. Hart provided more information on these items. Jeff Conner, Coroner was present to provide more information on the purchase of a body cooler that will be housed for free at Geisel Funeral Home. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the Quote from Penn United Restaurant Supply, LLC to purchase a body cooler at a cost of $12,030.00 this price also includes uncrating, assembling, delivery and setup. This company is on the PA Contract state listing #4400003674. The remaining items will be approved Thursday, June 9, 2011. John Hart, Chief Clerk/County Administrator informed the Board of the following items: The State has provided additional funding to Aging to be used for volunteers only and Aging has a lot of volunteer drivers that deliver home delivered meals for free so Aging is looking at Sheetz cards for them and may be asking for approval on Thursday. The Board held a Franklin County Retirement Board meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 10:59 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas. FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
