HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013-03-19 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, MARCH 19, 2013 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, March 19, 2013, with the following members present: David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. Chairman Keller announced that Commissioner Thomas is attending a CCAP committee meeting and will not be in attendance today. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. There was no public comment. The minutes of March 12, 2013 and March 14, 2013 meetings were reviewed. Chairman Keller suggested a few minor changes. These will be approved Thursday, March 21, 2013. The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner Ziobrowski asked John Hart, County Administrator to expand on board action #8, the Amendment to the proposal from Rohrer Bus Services. Mr. Hart explained that this amendment is to purchase a bus using State funds to replace the worse bus that Transportation has. This proposal is to upgrade a lift van that has an additional 1000 pound capacity, new cameras and a natural gas prep kit. This kit is not the tank but will make the vehicle ready to add the full conversion kit when the Chambersburg Borough has their natural gas facility ready. Chairman Keller asked for more information on the Mutual Aid Agreement with Juniata County, board action #4. Mr. Hart explained that counties close by enter into agreement to share phone switches, personnel and equipment. This agreement makes it a legal binding document to share resources. The items will be approved Thursday, March 21, 2013. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 1:39 p.m. this date for the purpose to review a personnel matter. The Board reconvened into regular session at 2:18 p.m. No action will be required after executive session. The meeting was adjourned at 2:18 p.m. with a motion by Robert G.
