Dustye gave a presentation on “The Latest Legal Drugs of Abuse” 1. III.Administration (Fiscal), Treatment and Prevention Update Administration 1.Review and Approval of minutes. a.All were in favor to accept the May meeting minutes. 2.Block Grant a.Rick stated that when money was moved out of ACT 152 into BHSO Franklin County got an additional $71,000 for treatment services. Legislators have people coming to them to get rid of the block grant so additional information and news will be coming in the months ahead. The Block Grant plan will be submitted on June 14, 2013. Treatment 1.Statistics a.Katherine reviewed a statistic presentation with the board. Chair board member will be determined; Tammy Bair will give her decision on chair acceptance at October meeting, until then Manny will remain acting chair board member. b. Follow up on Susanne Reed; she was given outcomes to complete as part of her quality monitoring with C&S Reed Consulting. C&S Reed Consulting’s monitoring was not mandated by the state. We found extensive findings; however, we are hopeful that we can get things corrected and functioning correctly in Fulton County. In 60 days we go back out to check to make sure that they have implemented their corrective action plan. Fulton County Probation depends highly on her business for assessments and outpatient counseling. Susanne is also employed by White Deer Run as a mobile assessor. She currently is not MA licensed, but she does accept county funded and self-pay clients. She also runs DAPP groups (Relapse Prevention) two days a week in Franklin County. We will schedule to meet and continue follow up at the end of the summer. c. D&A has requested to refill the vacant Case Management Trainee position; we have had an increase in clients with demand for treatment services as well as client assessments in jail. 3.Vacant DAPP Case Manager Position a.Currently our DAPP Case Manager position is vacant; this position holds a maximum case load of 25 clients. This is a partnership position with Probation and Drug and Alcohol Program. The position was housed at Adult Probation but will be coming back to Drug and Alcohol Program office when rd the position is filled. Interviews for positions are set for Wednesday, July 3. Prevention 1.Community Coalition Update a.Manny Diaz is the chairman for the Coalition and Ted Reed is the Co-Chair. th Next meeting is July 8 at the Administrative Annex Building starting at 9 AM. b.Kathy handed out a list of all the activities that will be completed for FY 2013/2014 in Franklin and Fulton County. This list has been submitted and waiting approval from the state to move ahead with these activities. *Fiscal 1. Reviewed the 2013-2014 numbers and comparison of 2012-2013 monies and the numbers.
