The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, December 31, 2013, with the
following members present: David S. Keller and Robert L. Thomas. Chairman Keller
presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of
Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert L. Thomas; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously
approved to adopt the agenda.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of December 26, 2013 meetings were reviewed. These will be
approved Thursday, January 2, 2014.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Chairman Keller
asked for more information on board action item # 3, Supplemental Appropriation for
Planning. John Hart, County Administrator provided more information on this item.
The following item was approved today and the remainder items will be approved
Thursday, January 2, 2014.
The Board reviewed Grants Management matters. On a motion by Robert L.
Thomas; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the renewal grant
application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the HUD 1,
HUD 2 and HUD 3 Homeless Assistance Project to provide housing and case
management for homeless individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. Each grant
provides for 10 apartments (30 total). The grant is requesting a total of$267,076.00.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 a.m. with a motion by Robert L. Thomas;
seconded by David S. Keller.
