The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, July 8, 2014, with the
following members present: Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Vice
Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence,
and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
Vice Chairman Thomas requested to answer a question from Kim Wertz last
week to the agenda. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L.
Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the amended agenda.
Vice Chairman Thomas wanted to answer Kim Wertz's question last week about
what is being done to help Letterkenny. He explained the Commissioners have been
involved on TEAM Letterkenny that is a group that was formed years ago to save
Letterkenny during the BRAC. Our local Legislators and Congressman Shuster have
been actively involved also. As far as they know there is not a BRAC now and don't
know that there will be a BRAC in the near future.
Jay Lightfoot had further comment on the municipal study conducted in 2013.
Richard Jones said there is a problem with extracting items from the County's
website. He could not get any information off the website last night.
The minutes of the July 1, 2014 and July 3, 2014 meetings were reviewed.
These will be approved Thursday, July 10, 2014.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. The items will be
approved Thursday, July 10, 2014.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:42 a.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
