HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-01-13 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2015 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 13, 2015, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. Jay Lightfoot provided public comment and stated he would like the Commissioners to explain each item on the agenda. Allen Piper provided public comment and said the Commonwealth is 2 Billion in the red and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Mr. Piper read Representative Kauffman's 5 goals for the legislature for 2015. The minutes of the January 5, 2015, January 6, 2015 and January 8, 2015 meetings were reviewed. These will be approved Thursday, January 15, 2015. The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner Thomas asked John Hart, County Administrator, to provide a brief summary of the bridge project. Mr. Hart explained the two bridges are 84 over Hoffman Road and 84 A over in am Road and both are weight restricted, one lane bridges. C.S. Davison is taking a closer look at all bridges under 20 feet that are not on the bridge inspection report. Mr. Hart said there is money encumbered to replace these bridges. Carrie Gray, Assistant County Administrator, explained board action item # of Agriculture's The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Agreement. This is just a minor amendment on an agreement from the state that is funneled through SCCAP to food pantries. The items will be approved Thursday, January 15, 2015. Fred Boylstein, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Director, presented David Donohue, Department of Emergency Services Director, with his State Advanced Emergency Management Certification.
