HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-06-02 Commissioner Minutes TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2015 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, June 2, 2015, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. Mayor Dick Starliper provided public comment and wanted to remind the Board of the grand opening of Martin's in Waynesboro on June 19th. The minutes of the May 28, 2015 meeting were reviewed. These will be approved Thursday, June 4, 2015. The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner Thomas said he is glad to see an opportunity to receive money from the state to assist inmates at the Jail and after they get released for drug and alcohol issues. He said drugs have an impact on our community and any chance we get to save tax payer funds is very good news. The following item was approved today while the remaining items will be approved Thursday, June 4, 2015. The Board reviewed Children &Youth matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the report to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services showing expenses and revenues for July 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 in the amount of$4,436,976.00. The Board reviewed appointments to the Franklin County Housing Advisory Board. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to reappoint Dennis Shockey for a term of June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2020. This position was advertised in the local newspaper. This was the only application received.
