HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-12-31 Commissioner Minutes THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2015 The Franklin County Commissioners met Thursday, December 31, 2015, with the following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert L. Thomas, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. There was no public comment. On a motion by Robert L. Thomas, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously approved the minutes of the December 22, 2015 meeting. The Board reviewed Liquid Fuels matters. On a motion by Robert L. Thomas, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; approved the 2016 Liquid Fuels encumbrances as presented and to authorize Commissioner Ziobrowski to sign, as required by PennDOT, the applications to Encumber Liquid Fuels Tax Funds between the County of Franklin and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the following bridges in Franklin County, Commissioner's Keller and Thomas signed on Tuesday, December 29, 2015: • Bridge #55— Increase by $450,000 • Bridge #84 and 84a— Increase by $19,135.50 • Bridge #121 — Remains at$99,474.25 • Bridge #130— Remains at$200,000.00 • Bridge #60— Remains at $133,619.00 The Board reviewed Planning matters. On a motion by Robert L. Thomas, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously approved the agreement between the County of Franklin and Mercersburg Area Council on Wellness to award $36,330.00 from the Franklin County Tourism and Quality of Life Enhancement Grant, utilizing the County's Hotel Tax Fund and Marcellus Legacy Fund. This grant was created to fund projects which enhance the quality of life and tourism within the county. Grant funds will be used for the Johnston Run Streamside Trail Project in Mercersburg.
