The Franklin County Election Board met, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 with the following
members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman
Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert L. Thomas, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously
approved that after consideration of the petition to cumulate votes for Walt Bietsch for the office
of Mayor of Chambersburg Borough, the Board finds that Beach, Beitch, Bietch, Bietsch,
Bietsch Walter, Joe Bietsch, Walt Biech, Walt Bietsch, Walt Bietsh, Walter Beitsch, Walter
Biesch, Walter Bietch, and Walter Bietsch, along with amended votes to include Walt Bietch on
the Democratic ballot is the same person and that the votes cast under these names at the
Municipal Primary held on May 16, 2017 in Franklin County, PA are therefore cumulated giving
Mr. Bietsch a total of 104 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by David S. Keller; approved while
Commissioner Thomas abstained from voting, that after consideration of the petition to
cumulate votes for Ben Thomas, Jr. for the office of Mayor of the Borough of Greencastle, the
Board finds that Ben Thomas, Jr., Ben Thomas, Benjamin Thomas, Benjaman Thomas Jr on
the Democratic ballot is the same person and that the votes cast under these names at the
Municipal Primary held on May 16, 2017 in Franklin County, PA are therefore cumulated giving
Mr. Thomas a total of 24 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by Robert L. Thomas; approved that
after consideration of the petition to cumulate votes for Charles L. Strausbaugh for the office of
Washington Township Supervisor, the Board finds that Charles Strausbaugh, Charlie
Strasbaugh, Charlie Strausbaugh, Charles Strausbaugh, Charls L Strausbaugh, Chas.
Strausbaugh, Charles Strausbaugh, Charlie Strausbaugh, Strausbaugh, Charles L. Straubaugh,
Charles Strausbaugh, Charlie Strawsbay, and Charles Strasbaugh on the Democratic ballot is
the same person and that the votes cast under these names at the Municipal Primary held on
May 16, 2017 in Franklin County, PA are therefore cumulated giving Mr. Strausbaugh a total of
56 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by Robert L. Thomas; approved that
after consideration of the petition to cumulate votes for Donald L. Ambrose for the office of Tax
Collector of Washington Township, the Board finds that Donald Ambrose, Donald L. Ambrose,
and Ambrose on the Democratic ballot is the same person and that the votes cast under these
names at the Municipal Primary held on May 16, 2017 in Franklin County, PA are therefore
cumulated giving Mr. Ambrose a total of 10 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by Robert L. Thomas; approved that
after consideration of the petition to cumulate votes for Douglas R. Carranza for the office of
Mayor of the Borough of Waynesboro, the Board finds that Carranza, Doug R. Carranza,
Douglas Carranza, Douglas Cutterez, Carrazo, Douglas R. Caranzza, Doug Carenzza, and
Doug Caranza along with amended votes to include Douglas R. Carranza and Dougls Carranza
on the Democratic ballot is the same person and that the votes cast under these names at the
Municipal Primary held on May 16, 2017 in Franklin County, PA are therefore cumulated giving
Mr. Carranza a total of 26 write-in votes on the Democratic ballot.

FRANKLIN COUNTY ELECTION BOARD
