TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2018
The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, August 21, 2018, with the
following members present: David S. Keller, Robert L. Thomas and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Keller presided and after calling the meeting to order, a Moment
of Silence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, proceeded with the business of the day.
Carrie Gray, County Administrator, asked to amend the agenda to remove the
executive session from the agenda. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by
Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved to adopt the amended agenda.
There was no public comment.
The minutes of the August 14, 2018 and August 16, 2018 meetings were
reviewed. These will be decided upon on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
The Board reviewed Agreements, Contracts and Reports. Commissioner
Thomas explained that board action #2, annual agreement with Yellow Pages to list
phone numbers for a few Human Service agencies used to cost $600 a month so the
amount has reduced. Steve Nevada responded that it is a state requirement to list their
services in the Yellow Pages. The following item was approved today while the
remaining items will be approved Thursday, August 23, 2018.
The Board reviewed On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by Robert L. Thomas; unanimously approved the agreement
between the County of Franklin and Dex Media-YP for yellow page listings in the
October 2018 phone book for Aging, Drug and Alcohol and MH/ID/EI for the period
of October 31, 2018 through December 31, 2019, at a cost of $113.00 per month.
The Board recessed until the 1:30 p.m. Retirement Board meeting.
The Board reconvened at 1:30 p.m. for a Retirement Board meeting.
The Board held a Retirement Board meeting.
Michael Shone, Marquette Associates President, met with the Board to provide a
report of the Franklin County Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Fund.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
