HomeMy WebLinkAboutPhilis ContractKnow all Men by these presents that I have agreed with James Ramsey to serve him or his Daughter Sarah the term of twelve years from this date faithfully and to attend honestly o their Interest for the Consideration of Meat Drink and Lodging found one for that erm and my Freedom at the Experation of the same he the said James Ramsey hath seperately bound himself his Heirs and assigns to liberate me at the end of said time for these Considerations I of my own consent do voluntarily agree and bind myself to serve him or her or their Heirs or assigns the aforesaid Term, and desire it to be Recorded as my Act and Deed. In Testimoney thereof I have affixed my mark and seal this twentyeth day of November one thousand seven hundred and ninety five. My Children to be free at the age of twenty eight as the Law directs.

Be it Remembered that on the twenty third day of November Personly before me one of the Justices for said County came the within named Negro Fillas and acknowledged the within Indenture an agreement to be here act and Deed and desires the same may be Recorded as such.
