Commissioner ffice solicitor is more Keller asked Carrie Gray to explain item #5 agreement with VOYA. Ms. Gray explained that in addition to pension, the benefits package includes a deferred compensation program that employees can select. She continued that we had a prior vendor but decided to enter into a Request for Proposal process to be sure the services are in line with our current needs. We received 12 proposals and the interview team that consisted of herself, the Human Resources Director, Controller and the benefits team from Human Resources narrowed them down to five and conducted interviews with them. She said that VOYA stood out as a service and agency that is most in line with what employees need the program to be. Ms. Gray continued that our mandated contribution pension is a strong offering to employees but the minimum required does not save the 15% of wages which is the recommended amount. Chairman Keller said this gives employees a vehicle to save more for retirement. Ms. Gray said there is no cost to the county, the costs are paid by the employees who contribute, but it was a lower cost to the employees compared to the other vendors. The items will be approved on Thursday, January 23, 2020. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by John T. Flannery; unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:38 a.m. this date for the purpose to review real estate matters. Ms. Gray announced that no action will be required after the executive session. The Board reconvened into regular session at 12:08 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 12:17 p.m. with a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by John T. Flannery. Carrie E.
