The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 13, 2009, with the
following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the
Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by David S. Keller, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously
approved to adopt the agenda.
Public Comment was received from Allen Piper, President of Citizens of
Responsible Government, who is asking the Board to begin each meeting with a prayer
or moment of silence and also will continue to encourage administration and executives
to return their salary increases.
The minutes of January 5, 2009, January 6, 2009 and January 8, 2009 meetings
were read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, January 15, 2009.
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and
signed on Thursday, January 15, 2009.
The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters.
On a motion by David S. Keller, seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously
approved to enter an executive session at 9:09 a.m. this date for the purpose to
review Litigation and Personnel matters. The Board reconvened into regular session
at 9:23 a.m.
The Board reviewed Mental Health matters. On a motion by David S. Keller,
seconded by Robert G. Ziobrowski; unanimously approved the Annual Progress Report
(APR) for the Supportive Housing Program, Shelter Plus Care and Section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the period
of August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008.
The Board met with the Planning Director to review related matters.
Commissioner Ziobrowski excused himself from the meeting at 9:55 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:08 a.m. with a motion by David S. Keller;
seconded by Robert L. Thomas.
