HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-02-10 Commissioner MinutesTUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2009 The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, February 10, 2009, with the following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G. Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to adopt the agenda. The minutes of February 3, 2009 and February 5, 2009 meetings were read. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, February 12, 2009 The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and signed on Thursday, February 12, 2009. The Board reviewed Risk Management matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Fee Agreement between the County of Franklin and Lavery, Faherty, Young and Patterson, P.C. to advise, assist and represent the County in regard to a civil action at a cost of $140.00 per hour and $70.00 per hour for paralegal services. The Board reviewed Property Management matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to award the Sale of the 1994 Dodge Van to David Cook for a bid price of $50.00. This was the only bid received. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to rescind the motion of January 29, 2009 between the County of Franklin and Indian Lake Camp Corporation to provide grant money in the amount of $2,500.00 to pay for operating expenses in running the Indian Lake Camp Corporation water system to be completed by December 31, 2009. The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters. The Board reviewed Commissioners' Office matters. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved for the Chairman of the Board to execute the Waiver of Taxes Agreement between the County of Franklin and Metal Township Municipal Authority to waive delinquent taxes on property that the Authority acquired. The Board reviewed appointments to the Franklin County Library Board. On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski, seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved to appoint Craig W. Hoffman for a two (2) year term to expire on December 31, 2010. Continued on page 2 The Board met with the Planning Director to review related matters.
