The Franklin County Commissioners met Tuesday, March 24, 2009, with the
following members present: Robert L. Thomas, David S. Keller and Robert G.
Ziobrowski. Chairman Thomas presided and after calling the meeting to order, and
the Pledge of Allegiance proceeded with the business of the day.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller;
unanimously approved to adopt the agenda.
Public Comment was received from Mr. Bud Bennett who wants to know why
public comment is always at the beginning of meetings and not at the end so that
questions could be asked after the meeting.
The minutes of March 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2009 meetings were read. These will
be approved and signed on Thursday, March 26, 2009
The Board reviewed Agreements and Contracts. These will be approved and
signed on Thursday, March 26, 2009.
The Board reviewed Visitors Bureau matters. On a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller; unanimously approved the Contract
between the County of Franklin and Mrs. Gibble's Restaurant to sponsor lunch in
Franklin County at Mrs. Gibbles Restaurant as a promotion of motor coach travel
industry at a cost of $825.70 for the period of March 24, 2009 through April 1, 2009.
The Board met with the County Solicitor to review related matters.
On a motion by Robert G. Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller;
unanimously approved to enter an executive session at 9:39 a.m. this date for the
purpose to review Real Estate matters. The Board reconvened into regular session
at 10:24 a.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:24 a.m. with a motion by Robert G.
Ziobrowski; seconded by David S. Keller.
